Welcome to The 200 Club of Morris County!
The 200 Club of Morris County

This 200 Club of Morris County scholarship program began in 1982 to provide college, post-high school education or vocational school assistance to children of active public safety personnel. Scholarship eligibility is limited to high school seniors serving in a Morris County branch of public safety or whose parent is actively serving or retired from a public safety capacity in Morris County.

Application Process

Scholarships will be awarded on a one-time basis for the 2020-2021 academic years. Award criteria are academic performance, community service, extracurricular activities and family financial need. The scholarship committee will review and approve applications impartially with no knowledge of the applicants’ identities. Announcement of the awards will be made in mid-April 2020. Successful applicants will receive their scholarships at an awards dinner on Monday, May 11, 2020.

Applications will be limited to high school seniors who have a parent actively serving Morris County in a law enforcement/public safety capacity, or whose parent has retired and has satisfied their agency’s retirement eligibility requirements, or are themselves in one of the following branches of law enforcement or public safety:

• Morris County Police and Law Enforcement, including Federal and State agencies
• Morris County Fire Department (including volunteer fire fighters)
• Morris County Volunteer Ambulance Corps/First Aid Squads

Eligibility is limited to the children of Morris County law enforcement and public safety personnel or Morris County high school seniors engaged in the branches reflected above. State Police eligibility is restricted to those who live or have their primary assignment in Morris County. Children of personnel working in clerical or other non-related public safety duties are not eligible. Likewise, children of members of The Two Hundred Club of Morris County are not eligible.

How to Apply

Step 1:
Check with your Guidance Counselor to be sure your scholastic information can be released to The 200 Club! Your school’s Guidance Department may require you and/or a parent to complete a release form before they can furnish this information to us. Be sure to do this before you complete our on-line scholarship application so there is no delay in having your application considered. We will be sending your Guidance Counselor an email to request the information we need. DO NOT EMAIL OR MAIL ANYTHING TO US AS IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Step 2:
Print a copy of our application and use it as a checklist so you can gather all the necessary data before you enter that information on-line. This is important because you will not be able to save your application and return to complete it at a later time.

To print a copy of the application and use it as a checklist, click here.
Once it appears on your screen, right click your mouse and select the print option.

Once you have compiled the necessary information, click the link above to enter that information on-line. IMPORTANT! We will not accept paper applications. You must apply on-line. Your application will not be considered unless you enter valid data in all the required fields.

Alert your Guidance Counselor and Academic Reference to let them know that they will be receiving an email with a link to an on-line form that they will complete to provide information on your behalf. They will receive this email the same day you submit your application. If they do not receive the email, ask them to check junk or spam. If they still do not receive our email, have them contact us at 200clubofmorris@comcast.net or 973-630-7933 to request we resend it. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE SURE YOUR ACADEMIC REFERENCE AND GUIDANCE COUNSELOR PROVIDES THIS INFORMATION TO US AS REQUESTED. IF THEY DO NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
