Valor and Meritorious Awards Dinner
Members of this Committee come together at the time of an in-the-line-of-duty death. They respond on behalf of the Club by personally presenting a substantial benefit to the surviving spouse within a respectable time following the loss of their loved one. Annually, the Action Committee reviews and distributes a dependent award to eligible children of our fallen heroes.

The Committee renders invaluable service to the President of the Club whenever called upon to provide advice concerning requests for special financial support. From time to time, they will also perform other such duties within the scope of the By-Laws as requested by the President.

Members of the Committee act as advisors to the President of the Club and meet whenever is necessary to discuss current Club matters. They are generally senior members of the organization whose experience and knowledge as to the history of the organization is invaluable.

Members of this Committee meet periodically to discuss issues impacting the Club's financial status. They review implications of the current and past year's financial results, reserve requirements and offer recommendations on adjustments in benefit payments as appropriate.

Acting as Goodwill Ambassadors, our Committee greets members and guests at Club functions such as the Annual Valor & Meritorious Awards Dinner held each April, the Scholarship Awards Dinner in June, and our Annual Membership Meeting in November. The Committee Chairperson coordinates the sending of cards, flowers or fruit baskets to members who are ill or to families of members who have passed away.

Existing or prospective members can seek out Committee members to receive the latest information on the Club and its programs. Committee members handle telephone inquiries and mail applications to prospective members or direct them to our website where an application can be downloaded. The Committee routinely disseminates information on the Club through formal and/or informal means for the purpose of increasing membership.

In October in years ending in an odd number, this Committee meets to select a slate of officers who will serve for the following two years. The slate is then presented at the Annual Board Meeting in November of that year. Seven members sit on this committee, four of whom are Trustees and three are general members. Each is appointed by the President of the Club.

The Committee introduces The 200 Club of Morris County to the public, educates them, and promotes goodwill toward the organization. Their goal is to develop a networking system with all news media. They are responsible for the preparation and dissemination of information, and promotional materials of news value as a means of gaining public recognition, attention and support of Club activities. Members work closely with other committees in publicizing special events such as the installation of newly-elected Officers and the Scholarship and Valor & Meritorious Awards Recognition Dinners.

This Committee meets annually to review and select eligible high school seniors for scholarship awards which are presented each June at the Scholarship Awards Dinner. The Committee is comprised of Club members including a Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, and an Advisor who share the administrative responsibilities of organizing meetings, preparing correspondence, and the distribution of applications.

Valor and Meritorious Awards Dinner
The Committee works closely throughout the year with the Club Administrator and President in planning, coordinating, and executing the arrangements needed for successful execution of the Dinner in the spring of each year.
